Professor. Hedef El-Yassin was pursing as faculty in University of Baghdad in department of Biochemistry and in College of Medicine. Hedef El-Yassin had completed her B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., and Post Doctorate in Clinical Biochemistry from Al-Nahrain University. She is Head of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry in University of Baghdad. She had participated in 43 local conferences in Iraq and 26 abroad, making a total of 69 conferences attendance and paper presentation.

Hedef El-Yassin has membership in Member of Royal Society of Chemistry, Member of the Society for Endocrinology and Member of the Science Advisory board. Hedef El-Yassin handling teaching responsibilities of Undergraduate studies: clinical biochemistry and clinical laboratory sciences and Postgraduate studies: Molecular biology and molecular basis of medicine for MSc, PhD and Iraqi Board specialties in chemical pathology. She had supervised till now 27 theses (14 MSc, 8 Ph.D. and 5 Board of Chemical Pathology). Hedef El-Yassin had 85 published articles.
